Know Shingles

Shingles develops in about 1 in 3 people, yet most Australians assume it won’t be them. GSK wanted to increase awareness of the severity and prevalence of shingles, to get Aussie’s over 50 talking to their doctor about their risk and potential impact of the disease.

Research indicated that doctors also prefer to speak to patients who have some background knowledge on the subject.

The new KnowShingles website provides this educational space, allowing for content that explores prevalent misconceptions and the facts, personal stories from past sufferers, and an interactive quiz where visitors can test their knowledge before seeking advice from their HCP.

Also included were patient and doctor guides, and a link to HotDoc to make an appointment.
